Visionary Optometry to host Workshop on Vision and Learning for Educators and Therapists 6/20/19 @ 7pm

Visionary Optometry to host Workshop on Vision and Learning for Educators and Therapists Thursday, June 20th @ 7pm

Learn what visual skills are, how to identify visual issue for

students and patients, and what steps can be taken to

help these children and teens.

Do some things puzzle you?

Does you know a student that understands the material, then underperforms on the test?  Do you see a child that has a headache at the end of school days?  Does your student avoid deskwork or detailed tasks?  Does your athletic child struggle with catching or batting?

80% of Learning is Visual

Experts estimate that 80% of learning is presented visually in the classroom.  Clear vision is a very important part of a student’s ability to learn and a child’s ability develop.

Vision doesn’t just happen.  A child’s brain learns how to use eyes to see, just like it learns how to use legs to walk or a mouth to form words.  The longer a vision problem goes untreated, the more a child’s brain learns to accommodate inadequately for the vision problem, in turn, creating new difficulties.

Workshop will be held at Visionary Optometry, 150 Broadhollow Road, Suite 104, Melville.  Call 631-791-5155 to reserve a seat.

Certificates of Participation will be available to participants.
